I have the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the ability to Speak in Tongues! No I am not from Satan! A lot of people actually tell me that, sometimes they yell it at me. I believe that such a statement is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, the unpardonable sin! Matthew 12:31-32 And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. Also see Mark 3:28-29

I was water baptized at the age of 11 on Passover, I came out of the water with my mouth shaking. After drying off, I had hands laid on me and I received Baptism of the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. I haven’t always used this tool. Over the years I slowly stopped practicing. I didn’t use it enough. I wasn’t seeking God. I was full of sin, and had no desire to do it. It was pushed aside. He (Holy Spirit) was trying to get my attention. The Holy Spirit was grieved. Because of my sin a lot of circumstances (mostly health) had brought me to my lowest point. I was begging God everyday to take me to heaven, the pain was intolerable. I got to my breaking point where I cried out to Jesus. I started seeking him more and in a different way. I started praising Him even though I wanted to die. I started praising God in tongues, and haven’t stopped since. His Spirit and me allowing the Spirit to flow in me, has made my relationship go from dry, to sopping wet. I honestly believe that most of my health issues stem from the fact that I was living in sin and had pushed the Holy Spirit and thus a full relationship with Him out of my life.

I saw my mistake very quickly and made a promise to the Holy Spirit that I would never ever suppress His Spirit or any of His gifts ever again, no matter what. I was starting to be healed. He started leading me in how He wanted to heal me. It has been a long slow process. A controversial one too. I may still have a lot of horrible days, but they are nothing compared to that first winter I was bedridden. My Spiritual life is being healed as well.

Other reasons why I speak in tongues…

For praising God and Declaring His Wonders. Acts 10:46 they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. and Acts 2:11b we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” Praise and worship is important for me, it is how I get Joy from Him and Strength. I will do a whole post on Praise and Worship later.

Praying the WILL OF GOD Rom 8:26-27 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

For Personal Edification, and speaking directly to God 1 Corinthians 14:1-5 Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. For anyone who speaks in tongues does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit. But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort. Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church. I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be edified.

Speaking in tongues daily is like a spiritual workout. You get stronger spiritually every time. You are in God’s Presence while doing it. You can actually feel Him fill you up. There is nothing better, it is indescribable! The peace that comes over you is so fantastic. It is not something to be scared of at all! It’s an amazing experience! I desire and seek to be in His presence daily because of it.

I know a lot of people don’t believe it is for today, but in 1 Corinthians 13:8-12 As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

This is referring to the End Times. The perfect is referring to Jesus and is speaking about Jesus’ second coming, so yes it is still for today! Once we are raptured with Him, we won’t need it, because we will be with Him! God gave us the Holy Spirit for the time that Jesus was not on this Earth. He gave us the Holy Spirit as a Helper, Teacher, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby, Revealer of Truth and the one who Empowers us. The second part of this scripture also shows me, that it is a foundation stone to spiritual maturity. I believe using it while studying the Word, opens up Knowledge, Wisdom, and Revelation from God that wouldn’t happen without it. I know I can personally hear God better because of it.

This Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues are for ANY person of God. Luke 11:13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

So let me ask you this, WHY would you not want to? Why would anyone ever think it could possibly come from Satan? Evidence of the Holy Spirit living inside you is usually manifested in speaking in tongues. Are people scared of surrendering to God in this way? It is a huge surrender for most people, and they can’t get past that. Why would you not want to pray God’s will? I don’t want to pray against God’s will, that is a waste of time, and being of the flesh. I know there are some times where I don’t have words on how to pray for a situation, a person, a country, or End Times, so I pray in tongues. Why would anyone not DESIRE to experience Jesus’s Spirit moving and working inside them? His Spirit is LIFE!

I hope and pray that the Holy Spirit will open up your eyes to see the Truth. Ask God yourself to reveal to you the Truth on this matter.
